Early Voting Details:

Subject: Vote from Home with a Mail-In Ballot

In Maryland, all registered voters may request and vote by absentee ballot.
Here’s what you need to do to vote from home this election season:
Request Your Mail-In Ballot: You may request a mail-in ballot by using the state’s online portal if you have a Maryland driver’s license or MVA-issued ID card, by printing and filling out a request form and mailing it to your local board of elections, or filling out a request in-person at your local Board of Elections.The deadline for requesting a mail ballot depends on the method of submission and the preferred method of delivery:
In-person requests may be made through Election Day
Requests to receive a ballot by mail or fax must be submitted by Thursday, May 7
Requests to receive a ballot via the internet must be submitted by 5 p.m. on Friday, May 10 if submitted by mail or 11:59 pm on May 10 if submitted online or by fax.
Complete Your Ballot: Fill out your ballot carefully, following the instructions provided.
Return Your Ballot: Mail-in ballots must be submitted in peson or via mail. There are 3 ways you can return your completed ballot:
Mail your ballot: It must be postmarked on or before primary election day (May 14, 2024). Your voted ballot must be received by your local board of elections by 10 am on May 24, 2024.
Take your ballot to a ballot drop box: When you receive your ballot, you will also receive a list of the ballot drop box locations in your county. A list will also be posted here once the locations are finalized for the 2024 elections.
Hand deliver your ballot: You must deliver it to your local board of elections by 8 pm on election day, or you may take it to an early voting center, or a ballot drop off box by the time the polls close.
